Video Transcript:
Luke here from O’Brien Engineering. Welcome to Material Mondays, where we showcase one of the specialty materials from our extensive range.
Today we’re introducing a new product in our premium anodised range – a satin bronze finish. It’s a light bronze with a subtle champagne tone, engraving cleanly to white like our other premium materials. Its distinct look makes it ideal for statutory signage and bespoke applications.
We brought this material in because we noticed many customers were laser cutting raw aluminium and then sending it off for bronze anodising – a process that adds cost, handling, and the risk of batch variations. By supplying pre-anodised bronze sheets (1000 x 500mm), we eliminate those steps, reduce costs, and ensure consistency across multiple jobs.
At 16+ micron, this anodised finish is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Here’s an example of a statutory sign laser cut directly from the sheet – ready to apply straight to the door with no additional processing required.
In short, this product gives you a high-quality, durable finish that works across a wide range of applications. You can purchase it in sheet form to cut yourself, or we can laser cut it to your specifications for statutory signage or other custom projects. Either way, it’s a versatile addition to our premium range.
