Video Description:

We were thrilled to be part of PacPrint 2025, showcasing our signage skills and connecting with so many passionate people in the industry. It was an amazing opportunity to demonstrate what we do – from precision laser cutting to custom engraving materials – and to learn more about what customers really need. We loved every minute of it. Being surrounded by innovative businesses and forward-thinking makers reminded us why we’re so proud to be part of the signage world.

Video Transcript:

Currently, we’re here at PacPrint 2025 at Sydney Olympic Park in Homebush. It’s an expo organised by the great people at Visual Connections, and the concept is to inform and inspire those working in the print industries.

We’ve come to exhibit, showcase what we do, and meet some great customers. Our goal is to learn more about what customers want, while also providing them with useful information that might help their businesses.

It’s an impressive show, and it’s fascinating to see what’s available from other suppliers and what’s happening across the print and signage world. A huge portion of the expo is print-focused, but there are also related technologies – everything from something as simple as an eyelet machine to more advanced equipment like laser engravers. It really brings together the worlds of printing and signage.

That’s where O’Brien Engineering comes into play – offering something a little different through our expertise in metalwork, which gives us a unique place in the signage space.

PacPrint 2025 gives us fantastic exposure to a broad range of people and industries. But it’s not just about saying, “Here’s what we do.” It’s about understanding each customer’s business, their equipment, their needs.

There’s no point promoting a sublimation material if a customer only has a laser engraver. Our aim is to show them what’s truly relevant – the materials and products that suit their business, and the added services we can offer on top.

For example, if a customer has an engraving machine, we can supply the right laminates and materials. But we can also offer laser-cut signage in metals that their own equipment might not be able to handle. By understanding their business, we can offer more value, more relevance, and better service.

The show itself is much bigger than just O’Brien Engineering – but there’s a lot of crossover between industries. Someone might print a sign, engrave it, or fabricate it, so it all connects. We’re a small fish in this pond, but we’re a very specialised one – and there’s really no one else here doing quite what we do for the signage sector.

Coming from the presentation and fabrication side of things, we pride ourselves on doing what we do very well – providing quality materials, precision cutting, and unique solutions. And it’s exciting to be surrounded by other great manufacturers with some seriously impressive machines.
